This is the second station built by the Deleware, Lackawanna &
Western Railroad (1st station, 1877). Serving passengers until 1958,
it was used with elevated railroad tracks constructed in the 1930's.
This flat-roofed rectangular building has a streamlined appearance.
This style was popular in the '30s & '40s. To the right of this
building is the newly restored ON TRACK train station where you can
travel via locomotive to other parts of the city and on scenic
excursion trips south of Syracuse.
