The Downtown Farmers’ Market returns for the season Tuesday, June 9. As the growing season continues, The Market features over 50 farmers and produce dealers selling fresh, seasonal vegetables, fruits, nuts, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, flowers, plants, handcrafted items, and more. Some weeks, The Market hosts live entertainment.
New for the 43rd Annual Season, the Downtown Committee is partnering with local organizations to promote wellness and healthy lifestyle iniatives. Every Tuesday, Market-goers can expect a different featured recipe provided by the Onondaga County Public Library at the Downtown Committee Information Booth, showing visitors how they can prepare their fresh Farmers' Market purchases. During select weeks, the Woman Infant Child (WIC) Program will offer cooking classes for qualifying families.
