Thursday, May 2, 2013
Syracuse, NY – Jō·lĭ·mé Fresh Garden Café has opened a Downtown Syracuse location of its popular restaurant in Onondaga Tower at 125 East Jefferson Street.
The 5,000 square-foot restaurant space features more than 100 seats and semi-private conference areas that can be used by customers for business meetings or working remotely. Much of the dining furniture in the space was built by local cabinetry company, CabFab, and is made from reclaimed lumber from a Brooklyn warehouse. This location will employ up to 30 people.
"We are very pleased with the reception we have received from the downtown community,” said John Caveny, co-owner of Jō·lĭ·mé Fresh Garden Café. “Downtown Syracuse is growing and reinventing itself and we are proud to be part of that process."
“We're excited to welcome Jō·lĭ·mé Fresh Garden Café to Downtown Syracuse’s diverse dining options,” said Merike Treier, executive director of the Downtown Committee of Syracuse. “Jō·lĭ·mé’s opening activates a key downtown intersection and is a tangible sign of the momentum in Downtown Syracuse spreading to the South Warren Street corridor.”
Jō·lĭ·mé Fresh Garden Café’s first location opened in Chuck Hafner’s Farmers Market & Garden Center in North Syracuse in 2011.
Jō·lĭ·mé Fresh Garden Café features a fresh, seasonal menu with a variety of breakfast and lunch options, including sandwiches, soups and salads made from local ingredients, all of which can also be found on its catering menu. The downtown Jō·lĭ·mé location is open Monday through Friday, 7 am to 7 pm and Saturdays 8 am to 4 pm. For more information about Jō·lĭ·mé, visit www.jolime.com.
