Downtown Syracuse Vision & Strategic Action Plan Open House

Syracuse, NY – The Downtown Committee of Syracuse, in partnership with its consulting team led by CZB, invites the community to attend the first public Open House for the Downtown Syracuse Vision & Strategic Action Plan.The Downtown Syracuse Vision & Strategic Action Plan kicked off in April, and the goal is to establish a long-term vision for the future growth of Downtown Syracuse, translating that vision into actionable priorities, strategies, policies, and decision-making tools. Through community engagement and market analysis, the plan will help guide future investments, initiatives, and decision making that support a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving downtown district.The Open House marks an important milestone in the planning process, offering the community an opportunity to learn about the project, review initial findings and data, and share ideas that will help shape the future of Downtown Syracuse.“Downtown Syracuse is the heart of our city, and we are thrilled to invite community members to participate in this planning process,” stated Merike Treier, Executive Director of the Downtown Committee of Syracuse. “One of Syracuse’s greatest assets is its people, and we encourage everyone to attend the Open House to discover more about the project and share their thoughts on how we support continued growth of our center city.”During the Open House, participants will have the opportunity to: 

  • Learn about the planning process and project goals
  • Review data on existing conditions and key findings
  • Share issues, opportunities, and priorities for Downtown
  • Help identify the values that will guide future decision-making
  • Connect with project team members and community stakeholders  

The Open House will be held on Tuesday, June 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Atrium Building lobby, located at 100 S. Salina Street. There are no formal remarks so attendees may arrive at any time and should enter through the Clinton Street entrance.CZB, a nationally recognized planning and community development consulting firm, is leading the planning effort in collaboration with the Downtown Committee of Syracuse and Downtown stakeholders.
