Don’t Miss “Open Up Downtown” Next Week! Saturday, May 16

Syracuse, NY – Next week, the Downtown Committee of Syracuse is excited to introduce a new cultural experience, Open Up Downtown. Have you ever driven past the National Grid building and wondered what the inside looks like? Or perhaps you have heard about the new INSPYRE Innovation Hub by Centerstate CEO and wanted a glimpse inside? We invite community members to discover these iconic buildings and more throughout Downtown.

This event will offer behind-the-scenes access to locations such as the Redhouse Arts Center, City Hall, The Treasury Building, and the newly redeveloped Mizpah Tower. Experience unique spaces like ELITE Gaming and gain special access to the State Tower Roofdeck, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of our city.

Open Up Downtown not only uncovers hidden gems but also connects participants to the vibrant history and culture of our community. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit four informational stops presented by LaBella Associates, Preservation Association of Central New York (PACNY) and the Onondaga Historical Association.

Open Up Downtown will take place on Saturday, May 16. Participants can partake in a self-guided tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., providing a chance to discover significant buildings and visit various information sites throughout Downtown. Tickets are available for $15 pre-sale until 5pm May 15th: and $20 on the day of the event. On-street parking is free on May 16 in the central business district.
